Britney Jean Spears

Britney Jean Spears was born on the 2nd of December, 1981 in McComb, Mississippi & raised in Kentwood, Louisiana. Britney was an avid dancer in her youth and was a winner of numerous competitions in gymnastics. Britney was a superb dancer and singer. Britney was eight years old when she applied to be a part of The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989), however her age and youth led to her being denied. Then, she was directed to "Ruthless" the off-Broadway production, where she starred as the main character for two years. She was back in The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989) but this time , as a mouseketeer. But her most significant break was in the late 1990s when she was signed to be a Jive Recording artist. Britney's debut album, "...Baby, was released in 1999. Britney also sold 9 million copies (as in July 2001) of her follow-up album "Oops !...I Do It Again" that came out in May 2000. Britney was born to Lynne Spears (and Jamie Spears) and has a bigger sister, Jamie Lynn Spears. From a young age, Britney was always fixing to be a celebrity with her idols like Madonna, Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston, the young Britney could always be heard singing, regardless of what was happening around her. After a long period of vocal and dance classes, and taking part in numerous showcases and fairs, Britney auditioned for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989) television show [1989-1994] when she 8years old, however, she was too young for the role. Instead, Britney, her mother and baby sister moved to New York where she starred in several TV ads and in an off-Broadway production, "Ruthless", where she was understudy with Natalie Portman. Two years later, her love of dance and music became her main focus. She auditioned for a second time for a role on "Mickey Mouse" and was picked along with Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera, and Justin Timberlake.
