Alison Doody
Alison Doody has been an Irish actor and model since November 11, 1996. Her debut in a feature film was in a minor role on her debut role in the Bond film A View to a Kill. (1985). Then, later she played the Nazi-sympathising archaeologist Elsa Schneider (Indiana Jones and in the Last Crusade 1989). The other roles she played include Siobhan Donavan on the film A Prayer for the Dying (1987) Charlotte in Taffin (1988) and Rebecca Flannery in Major League II (1994). Doody was a model when she was approached by a aspiring photographer. Her career has since developed into commercial modeling. Doody tried to stay clear of the glamour of nude roles that was a rule she followed in her acting. When she was spotted by the casting director for a James Bond movie, she was cast of A View to a Kill as Jenny Flex. Doody was named one of 12 Promising New Actors from 1986 in John Willis Screen World, Vol. 38. Doody aged 18 in the role of Doody in Bond she was still the oldest Bond girl until today. A Prayer for the Dying (1997), starring Mickey Rourke, also featured one of her roles as IRA Siobhan. Doody played an unseen role in the film as Archibald Craven's wife Lilias during the film adaptation of his fantasy, 1987's version from The Secret Garden. In a Jim Henson fantasy episode The Storyteller in 1988, Doody played Sapsorrow alongside John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. The actress played Pierce Brosnan, in the 1988 film Taffin. Then she took her biggest role yet as Austrian archaeologist and Nazisympathiser Dr. Elsa Schneider playing alongside Harrison Ford. Doody is part of the James Bond family, having played alongside Sean Connery and Jonathan Pryce in the film Indiana Jones and the Final Crusade. In 1991 Doody co-starred opposite Jonathan Pryce in British mini-series Selling Hitler inspired by the publishing fraud known as the Hitler Diaries. She subsequently relocated to Hollywood. The decision was made to replace Cybill Shepard as L'Oreal spokeswoman and was later cast alongside Charlie Sheen as Flannery, his wife and agent as Flannery's girlfriend and agent in Major League II. After almost a decade away from screen Doody returned to acting by playing a minor role in the 2003's British comedy film The Actors with Michael Caine playing herself in an event scene for the award ceremony. Doody was a co-star with Patrick Swayze in a 2004 TV movie adaptation of King Solomon's Mines and also was a part of a short titled Benjamin's Struggle (2005) a pamphlet on the Holocaust and in the British TV program Waking the Dead (in a two-part series called. Doody was a part-time actress in Danny Dyer's film The Rapture (2010). Then, she appeared in the RTE medical thriller The Clinic. She was supposed to appear in an adaptation in 2011 of the horror movie The Asphyx. However, the project was ultimately canceled. Pam Jefferson is her role in the E4 Comedy Drama Beaver Falls' first of two seasons. She starred in We Still Kill the Old Way which was a film from 2014. In November she received the Almeria tierra de Cine Award and received a Star on Almeria's Walk of Fame.
