Allyson Felix

Allyson Michel Felix was born 18 November 1985, in Los Angeles. Paul Felix, her father was an ordained minister of Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet school for children in the elementary grades. Felix displayed a knack for sports early, and discovered her athletic abilities while she was at the Los Angeles Baptist High School. Following her initial audition and placing in the top two at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships, for 200 meters in just 10 weeks. Felix was a high school graduate when she graduated from school in 2003, signed an agreement with Adidas. Then she was accepted into an institution called the University of Southern California and studied elementary education. The following year, Felix won the first Olympic medal during the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece breaking a junior world record by sprinting 200 meters within 22.18 seconds. The 2005 Helsinki World Championships saw her become the shortest woman ever to win the 200 meter race. In 2007 she defended the title by beating her Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix took part in her first Olympics during Beijing London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo regularly placing in the top three in all her events.
